Old School boombox from the 1980′s meets New School electronic musical gadgetry in the new millennium. This is the concept art for the one-of-a-kind boombox/sound system, Audio2, from the Blokhedz www.MissionG.com webisodes. He is equal parts sound system, DJ setup, recording studio, mixer, sampler, drum machine, sequencer, and multi-media playback all stuffed into what appears to be a normal looking radio. Will also get you out of a tight spot, if he’s feeling generous. See Audio2 in action

Thought I’d share this background from the chase scene at the opening of episode 3 of the Blokhedz webisodes on www.missiong.com, since you don’t get to see all of the graffiti in the final animation.
There were 3 very talented animation directors on our project at emation studio in Seoul, South Korea. I will have to find out who was responsible for this shot. In any case, this is the original layout, which came with a layer which had horizon and vanishing points plotted out.
From there I used a wide angle lens plug-in for Cinema4D to approximate the horizon and vanishing points. We were on a tight schedule and didn’t have the opportunity to revise the layout after creating the background, so the match isn’t perfect in terms of scale for the characters.
A Cinema4D render, using the WFCam4D plugin to acheive the fisheye lens effect. The plug-in is a post-effect run from the render settings window. Cinema4D does not ship with a set of wide angle lenses, so WFCam4D was a life-saver during production when we were faced with doing a 180 degree 2D pan. The set is the basketball court and housing projects from Blokhedz webisode #2 on www.MissionG.com
An animation background from the city chase section of Blokhedz webisode #3 on www.MissionG.com. Actually the first shot of the episode. Another case of spending time to put some cool throw-ups in the shot only to have them covered by the animation.
The one-of-a-kind boombox, Audio2, from the Blokhedz www.MissionG.com webisodes. These are the illustrations I created and gave to our modeler, Michael Gorospe, to create the hero prop. He is equal parts sound system, DJ setup, recording studio, mixer, sampler, drum machine, sequencer, and multi-media playback all stuffed into what appears to be a normal looking radio. Will also get you out of a tight spot, if he’s feeling generous. See Audio2 in action in our animated webisodes on www.MissionG.com There may be a desktop wallpaper size version of this in the near future.
E Class. The premiere rapper on Bloko Murkowitz’s Blok Murda Records label.
Pitch art for Gatorade’s Mission G website mini-series. A collaboration of course with Madtwiinz, who provided the character. My contribution to this Jam is the background tone and all the trailing paint strokes coming off of Eatho.
Blokhedz Episode 2 animation background. SIE HR, who is currently putting out Liquidteks NY graffiti magazine helped me out a bunch, as did Inkhead, of tagsareknown.com. I was running out of photos of graffiti to use for my texture maps and they hooked me up with the right kind of photos of the graffiti writers I wanted to showcase. Big UP!
Straight out the … Dungeons of Rap, where fake (rappers) don’t make it back. Well, that’s the edited version. We tidied up the words of Nas to get it past the suits, but the idea is the same. Underground rap battle sponsored by Blok Murda Records, the mainstream commercial record company dominating Empire City and the WORLD!
Boy you should have known by now, Eazy Duz it. When it comes to munchin up a lil bit, all the kids say “We want Eazy”
Keep It Moving and Storage has outlets all over Empire City. They rent trucks, sell boxes and packing supplies and have hundreds of self storage units to fit all your short term and long term storage needs. CONvicted? Evicted? Just got too much junk? Call Keep It Moving and Storage.
Electricity = Juice. Juice = 1992 movie starring Tupac Shakur (and others of course). Tupac = Thug Life. Thug life, sounds like long life, but actually the opposite. So Juice batteries are thug life batteries. Supercharged and temporary.
There should be more Jamaican gangster movies in the world. I got a title for one – Badman a Boss. This is a little in-story movie idea for Blokhedz. I made up a bunch of magazine names, movies, products, etc, for the fictional Empire City, home to Blokhedz. The image used in Blak’s bedroom is the initial sketch for this character done sometime in 2007. I spent a few hours today cleaning it up and making it fresh for 09.
Empire City’s electronics retail giant, The Biz. Pro audio equipment, instruments, software and computer hardware and more for producers, DJ’s and musicians of all types. Remember, Nobody beats the Biz!
The Kool Genius of Rap, also known as Nat Corona – Author of Ill Street Blues, On the Run, Streets of New York and many many more hip-hop scenarios.- This prolific street novelist has been entertaining Empire City since the 80′s.

C.D. Ridenhour. Popular author and poet. Award winning novels include Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos, Louder than a Bomb, and Night of the Living Baseheads.
The jacket for a book in Blak’s library. Many of the books in Blak’s room are hip-hop lyric and song title visualizations, takeoffs and parodies. Black Steel in the hour of chaos is a perfect title and the lyrics are epic, no question. If you remember the video, you know it’s like a movie already. Real hip-hop.
The Goose is loose and he’s poppin off in all directions, and that spells trouble for sucker ducks. The mythical mascot of Empire City’s number one bubble gum, son. Bubble Goose.
What’s poppin cat? Today’s image is the Bubble Goose bubble gum logo. An Empire City classic for generations, this is the number one bubble gum, Dun.
